The owner of StoneWood Design, Janice Stone Thomas has been designing interiors for more than 30 years.
Focused exclusively on residential projects, she works with clients on interior specifications and furnishings for new construction and on design for remodels.
Her broad capabilities extend to all rooms, with particular emphasis on kitchens and baths.
She has worked closely with other professionals on several developments in the Sierra foothills, including collaboration with Henrik Bull on Clos du Lac in 1995. Alia Richards, senior designer, is a 1992 graduate of San Francisco University with bachelor degrees in both interior design and business administration.
Her fourteen years of experience have been in the bay area before moving to Sacramento in 2007. She has worked on projects ranging from a 14,000 square-foot home to the staff room at the San Jose Museum of Art.
Alia loves every aspect of interior design, from the initial design phase through placement of that last accessory at installation.
“No detail is too small to be overlooked", she believes, "and sometimes it’s the smallest detail that becomes the favorite.”
